I needed a handrail for some steps in order to pass an FHA inspection, so I hired a builder. He had to cancel due to injury, and at the 11th hour, Down Home Contracting stepped in to save the day, and prevent the closing being delayed. Quality work comes at a price, and that's fine with me. You get what you pay for. It's not just materials and labor, but expertise and knowledge. He just did work on my moms home, and everytime she gave me updates she had nothing but amazing things to say about John. He build a bathroom, stairway and walls, ceiling, outside wall. Just such a wonderful job!! Thanks John, my mom is so so happy !

I contacted John about my chimney needing some work. I was on a slight time crunch as our roof was being replaced in a matter of a few weeks. John came to our place to assess the job and gave me a quote. After we agreed John showed up the day he said he would be there. He made the whole experience hassle free for me, he retrieved all the materials needed and kept in close communication during the project. He drove to many different stores to get the best price on the materials needed and through his determination he even secured a cap for the chimney free of charge! The chimney looks brand new and my wife and I are very pleased with the results. The price was fair and in line with the quality of work that was done. Would recommend John to anyone.
